Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and musician from England. He was part of One Direction. The son of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on January 1, 1994, in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, where along with three fellow students, he formed his musical group, White Eskimo. White Eskimo won 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to the excellent presentation they gave. Though he's been fascinated by the arts, he hoping to be an lawyer or physical therapist. He was employed at a local bakery part-time to help his family financially. Harry Styles, in 2010, auditioned to be on The X Factor. His single Is not She Lovely was and was performed by Stevie Wonder. The reason for this was the band split up. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to be a part of a new band called One Direction. The other members were Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. The creation of the group began in 2010. The five youngsters were supported by Simon Cowell. During the competition the band performed songs like My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls for the prize. But they came in third place, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. However, Harry Styles and his group were not crowned winners, Cowell signed a deal worth 2 million pounds to One Direction to sign with the Syco Record label.
