Torrie Wilson
Torrie Anne Wilson (born July 24, 1975) is an American former professional wrestler and model. She is most famous for her time as a member of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE, prior to which was the World Wrestling Federation).As fitness-focused competitor, Wilson won the Miss Galaxy contest in 1999. In the following year, she was signed by World Championship Wrestling in 1999, and there she remained until 2000. [2][7][8] In 2001, she began being in World Wrestling Federation (WWF) television, as part of The Invasion (by WCW, of the [then-] WWF) storyline. The most notable part of her appearance was well-known in her feud with Dawn Marie ([7][8]) and Sable ([5][99]). Wilson was also part of the stable comprised entirely of females (i.e., a group of storyline-associated characters), known as Vince's Devils, which was canceled in 2006.Aside from professional wrestling, Wilson has been on the covers of various magazines, including FHM as well as Playboy (which Wilson posed for twice, with one featuring both Wilson as well as Sable).Wilson was admitted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019. Wilson's first wrestling experience was when she went to an World Championship Wrestling (WCW) show with her boyfriend in 1999. [7][8][9] She was then requested to return to the stage and go into the ring along with Scott Steiner. [7] Kevin Nash later expressed interest in a storyline. [5][7][9] She first appeared on the February 8th, 1999 episode of Nitro (later named "Samantha"). In the storyline , it was discovered that Wilson was taken in by New World Order (nWo), to seduce David Flair into supporting his father Ric Flair. [5][14] The two appeared together at SuperBrawl IX on February 21st, when Wilson beat Ric as David hit him with Tasers. 15 Ric was the winner of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He was recorded by Hollywood Hogan at Uncensored in the Barbed Wire Steel Cage. David and Wilson went on a break from WCW television until the month of May. They returned to the Ring in May to watch matches. Wilson was Flair's personal assistant at the 1999 Bash at the Beach. Flair has been successful in defending the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship.
